What is boudoir photography?
Boudoir photography is the embrace of your beauty, sensuality, and desire without comparison or judgment. It is about celebrating you and your journey as a person. We will capture the most intimate and stunning version of yourself, allowing you to feel confident and beautiful in your own skin. Boudoir is for anyone of any background, shape, size, and age because everyone deserves to embrace their uniqueness. Each and every boudoir session with us is tailored to your desires, personality, and style. Boudoir photography is more about the emotions you convey than the level of clothing you have on. Your comfort level during the photoshoot is, first-and-foremost, our top priority. Allow the boudoir experience to be the ultimate expression of who you are.
Will I be naked?
Only if you want to be! We will tailor the shoot to your comfort level. Some ladies feel most confident in a robe while others may feel best in their own skin. Remember, we do this for a living so don’t feel embarrassed.
Although we will always respect your comfort level, I recommend considering stepping out of that comfort zone. You may like the result in the photos!
Are the photos edited?
Our photos are a realistic representation of your best you. We won't dramatically alter anything that won't change. but don’t worry because many of the poses and props will highlight all your best features and deemphasize the rest!
We will edit any non-permanent marks such as blemishes or bruises so don't stress about the little things!
Will my photos be shared?
We will never share your photos without express permission first. We pride ourselves on maintaining trust with every client. The privacy and comfort level of every client is our number one priority. You can be confident that when you book with Polaris Boudoir, the privacy of your photos is your choice. Although we will always love to share your beauty with others to help inspire them, we understand that the nature of boudoir means, for some, this may not be ideal.
Do I need to know how to pose?
Most people are not professional models and luckily, you don't need to be for boudoir! We will guide you through every pose and facial expression the entire time, so you always look and feel amazing! During your photoshoot, Katharina will demonstrate the various poses and use reference photos so you can best visualize each pose. Our goal is to make sure you feel confident in your own skin. No matter your skill level with posing, you will always walk away with stunning photos.
Can I bring a friend?
Of course! having a boudoir buddy tag along is a great way to have a fun day with your bestie! If this sounds awesome to you, ask us about our best friend photo shoots and double-booking deals!
So my photographer is a male?
Yes, the artist behind these stunning images is Michael. The idea of a male photographer may be intimidating to some and exciting to others. When it comes to booking a boudoir photoshoot with a male photographer there are many advantages. Some women prefer the aesthetic and style that a male photographer brings to boudoir photography because they tend to understand the female form on a different level than women. Every photographer has their own artistic eye and way of capturing intimate moments. Choosing a male photographer can provide a fresh and different perspective on boudoir photography, capturing your sensuality and beauty in a unique way. It's essential to feel comfortable and at ease during a boudoir shoot, this is why Michael's wife, Katharina, will be present the entire time during the photoshoot. Katharina will be there as your personal hype woman and help with posing and guiding you through every photo. When you book with Polaris Boudoir, we will always include an in-person meet-and-greet to get to know each other.
Do you provide hair and makeup?
We believe in capturing the natural beauty of our clients in a realistic way. This is why we prefer our clients to have their hair and makeup done the way they prefer, either by themselves or with the help of a professional. When hair and makeup is applied to heavily, it can come across as fake in photographs which will detract from your natural beauty. Many of the women in our photos have little to no makeup on. Don't worry too much about being perfect. Blemishes are easy to edit, and messy hair will look better in photos. We will be messing it up anyway! Want to check out some of our work?
Where will my photoshoot take place?
Our home studio is located in quiet little Snowflake Arizona. We are just a 3-hour drive from Phoenix, 2 hours from Flagstaff, and 35 minutes from Pinetop-Lakeside.
When you step foot in our studio, you are transported to a space of relaxation, comfort, and elegance. We pride ourselves on giving every client an experience that is not only welcoming and inviting but allows you to relax and be who you truly are.
Can I decide what I want to buy when I see my photos?
Of course! We always offer an in-person showing same day view and select your amazing photos. We want you to be 100% satisfied with how you choose to commemorate your photoshoot. All purchases can be paid in full at or before the order is placed, Payment plans are also offered! Once the photos are chosen, It may take up to 2 week for editing and then another 2 weeks for physical products to arrive.
How much does it cost?
Boudoir is more than just a photo shoot, it is an experience. This is why we prefer to discuss the value of your session with every client. Sessions are $200 with collections starting at $900. We would love to tell you all about the experience so we can find the best fit for you.
